Having Trouble Sleeping?

Sleep problems are common, especially insomnia symptoms. Typical insomnia symptoms include difficulty in falling asleep and difficulty staying asleep.

We may all have experienced transient insomnia, which is often due to stress. Our sleep is usually improved after the resolution of the stressors. However, unfortunately for some people, they may continue to experience persistent sleep difficulties, e.g. having trouble sleeping at least three nights a week for more than three months. Sleep problems can be very distressing and may cause prominent impairments in different aspects of life (e.g. increased daytime fatigue and mood difficulties, impaired school and work performance).

Individuals with chronic insomnia should seek timely treatment for their sleep problems. There are effective treatments available to improve sleep.

The causes of insomnia may be multifactorial, which may be related to physiological (e.g. chronic pain, comorbid sleep problems) or psychological factors (e.g. depression, anxiety). Chronic insomnia may be related to other behavioural factors which are often modifiable through proper treatments (e.g. unhealthy sleep habits, misconception about sleep). Here we provide professional, comprehensive assessments to understand your sleep problems. Our focus is a non-pharmacological approach, offering individualised, evidence-based, multi-component interventions that are tailored to each client to improve her/his sleep.

Before starting the treatment, an initial consultation is needed to determine whether the treatment programme is right for you. If you are struggling with your sleep problems, please feel free to contact us and book a consultation session for an assessment.
